Antique crochet has a lot of character, and so antique patterns are searched for by those looking to recreate classic styles and projects from a time gone by. A crocheted afghan is a great gift for family and friends.

The benefit of saving money on what you are able to make by hand is also a plus. Patterns can be written in several different ways. I always buy an extra ball than is recommended in the pattern just in case you need a bit extra, most good yarn stores will accept them back if you've bought too many.
